RESERVE DES BISONS D'EUROPE

Found in the wild only in Northern Europe, the European bison has been reintroduced to the Margeride region. In the Sainte-Eulalie reserve, it lives in semi-freedom across more than 200 hectares. Visitors can choose between a guided tour by horse-drawn carriage or sleigh in winter and a walk in a smaller area. The guided tour offers the opportunity to encounter Europe's largest land mammal within an 80-hectare park. A museum area reveals the history of the bison from prehistoric times to the present day. Opening hours : * May to September + school holidays: daily from 10 am to 5 pm (6 pm depending on the period). * Other periods and outside of school holidays: daily except Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10 am to 5 pm. * Mid-November to mid-December (inclusive): the European bison reserve is closed (annual closure period).
